RCa run for charity

RCA complete 10k Cancer Research run

Cancer Research UK 10K

Donning a pair of running shoes and taking to one’s heals for 10k isn’t a normal Sunday activity for the RCA team. But on the 1st October 2006, they did exactly that - all in the name of charity, in particular in aid of Cancer Research.

Undeterred by the horrendous downpours, the RCA team was among 3431 participants that turned out to run the Cancer Research UK 10k in the stunning Home Park at Hampton Court Palace. The run was one of thirty held across the country this autumn, held at spectacular locations with breathtaking scenery.

For most of those involved, this challenge was by no means an easy task and everyone showed real team spirit, grit and determination during their training in the preceding months. Their hard work paid off as all seven runners ran the very muddy 10km course in less than 1hour 15 minutes cheered on by the RCA support team. Collectively, they managed to raise over £2,000.
